2012 WHARF RAT RALLY

We attended the 2012 Wharf Rat Rally again this year. One of the things we took in was the Hub City Stunters Freestyle Motorcycle Team. This is a group from Atlantic Canada and they are good riders. The Nova Scotia Boat Racers Association also held races during the Wharf Rat Rally. They race boats up to 30 feet in length with 750 hp engines. Lots of noise! The attendance was good with lots of bikes, fine weather, free concerts and great fireworks.

WHALE WATCHING 

August 2012 

We went on a whale watching cruise from Brier Island with our friends, the Fosters. Both the weather and whales cooperated. We enjoyed lots of close up time with these huge creatures and were able to capture a few good shots. There were lots of birds and we also saw tuna feeding on baitfish.
